Description
Aeonium arboreum ‘Atropurpureum’
Large growing aeonium which will eventually grow and branch into a tree like plant with stunning purple rosettes.
6 – 8 cm tall, and 6 – 7 cm across
Bare root (to post) or in small pot (for collection)
Plant Details and Care
Large rosettes on tall branching stems, to form a small tree. The leaves will turn green in low light but develop a dark red/purple/black colour in strong sunlight.
Size: Can grow to 3 ft or more.
Leaves: Purple/red/black leaves, will turn green in low sunlight, young growth is green.
Flowers: Yellow flowers.
Growing site: Indoors in a conservatory or large sunny windowsill, or outdoors in a pot.
Hardiness: Not hardy in the UK. May be grown outside in the summer, but will need winter protection.
Toxicity: Aeonium arboreum ‘Atropurpureum’ is not thought to be toxic.
