About Easy Succulents

Easy to grow succulent plants for your home and garden. We grow, supply, and design with succulents.

We currently only have a small choice of succulent plants available, including Graptopetalum, some Echeveria and some Sedums, as well as a few herbs – mints and salvias.

  • House plants – these will not tolerate wet and cold, and can only be grown inside. Most will need good light such as in a conservatory or near a large window to grow well. Sedum Morganianum and Sanseveria grow well as houseplants.
  • Tender Succulents – some of these can spend the summer in the garden, and some may be planted out permanently in a suitably warm and sheltered site; but they may also be grown in a conservatory or greenhouse, or sunny windowsill. Graptopetalum, Graptosedum, Echeveria, Agave and Aloes usually fall into this group.
  • Hardy garden succulents – this includes many hardy sedums and sempervivums, which will grow well in most reasonably drained soils or in pots. Some sedums will die back in winter and regrow in the spring.

We also offer a few other plants, including herbs such as Mint and ornamental Salvia.

Most of these plants are very easy to grow and easy to care for, but they do have different requirements for growing location and care. Not many succulents are fully hardy in the UK, and those that are are typically grown as rockery plants.

Background

This small hobby business has developed from an addiction to succulents!

I had too many succulents and not enough space, so I began selling a few. People liked them, so it made sense to sell a few more.

We only sell a small number of plants, and we don’t have a huge choice, but the plants we have are propagated and cared for by us (not imported – as many supermarket and garden centre plants are).
The plants are supplied in pots are in clay pots, potted up in a gritty mix (usually a mix of compost with coir, potting grit, perlite and horticultural sand). Others smaller plants are supplied in small plastic plant pots or bare root.
